About the coach

Stuart Syme, PGA Professional since 1991 with over 34 years of coaching experience.

I was one of the first Trackman customers in Scotland and I have owned Drumoig Golf Centre which is situated 8 miles from the Home of Golf, St Andrews and 3 miles from Dundee since 2014.
We have Trackman range installed for all our customers here at Drumoig Golf Centre and I employ several PGA Qualified coaches here to look after our many, many customers.

I also teach with Smart 2 Move force plates and I specialise in measuring golfers to determine their swing and body type via our profile sheet.
I have measured 1000’s of golfers and always teach to that persons strengths and not some pre-conceived teaching methodology.

I have helped many players reach county and national teams along with my son Connor Syme who has now played on the DP World Tour for 8 years and he recently won the 2025 Dutch Open. Connor has played in 4 major championships to date and has made the Race to Dubai Final on 4 occasions also.

I also coach many other professionals including Tour Winners and a past Ryder Cup player.

I was previously a Scottish and GB&I internationalist amateur golfer myself before turning professional to initially try and make it as a professional golfer but I found I was better suited to teaching the game than playing it for a living although I did manage to win some lower ranking pro events.
