Shawn Koch

About the coach

Shawn has committed himself to being a lifelong student of the game. Learning under the instruction of his his father, a life member of the PGA, Shawn had a deep respect and understanding of all aspects of the game at a very early age. A native of Howell, Michigan, Shawn achieved great success as a junior golfer resulting in an unparalleled opportunity to play for East Tennessee State University, which was ranked #1 in the country at the time. As a tournament player, Shawn had success at every level with wins in both amateur and professional events. The Country Club of the South in Johns Creek, Georgia has been home to Shawn since 2004. As the Director of Instruction who has won multiple teaching awards, Shawn takes great pride in his player development programs. His students have ranged from PGA & LPGA tour players, college golfers, elite junior golfers, club champions, and men, ladies, and juniors of all handicaps.
