About the coach
“Why I Coach”
Golf’s been in my life for as long as I can remember. But coaching? That’s where I found real purpose.
It’s not just about fixing swings — it’s about building confidence, breaking through mental blocks, and helping people enjoy the game more.
Whether it’s a scratch player chasing consistency or a beginner picking up a club for the first time — I’m here to make the journey better.
I see players who come to me who's swing doesn't look great from p6 to p8 but they can't miss a shot on the range, stripe show all day! then when leading after 54 holes, they loose it completely, pressure with a poor impact conditions shows them up.
For me I work mainly on delivery into impact. it's not about what I like it's more about what leads to more efficiency at bottom of the arc and what each players like look of and what their feels are and if they feel they can repeat it or be able to pull off draws, cuts, half shots that's how you need to determine what's right for each individual.
I Don't mold everyone to same backswing model and downswing model but I Mold them all into same p6 to p8.
Things that can help you get better in those key postions
You have to get the sweet spot low/deep enough before impact to be able to effectively use your rotation thru the ball. This also holds true with finess shots also.
•It can be helpful to get the arms deep enough at the top to allow the golfer to put an outward force on the grip in early downswing. This helps to "lay the club down" because the clubs CM is getting sucked into the line of force.
•Lead wrist flextion in early downswing is key. Going into extention tends to steepen the shaft and open the face which creates timing issues.
•Thru impact the grip is working up, around and to the left and the sweet spot is working down, out and to the right. The key is getting the club/body in position to be able to do this.
•Each player has a overall net rate of closure in the downswing. It seems that increasing the closure in early downswing allows the golfer to reduce rate of closure at first touch, resulting in tighter dispersion patterns.
Hope this all make sence. Any questions just ask away! Also get a video to me so we can do analysis of your swing as that’s crucial for you to get better
