Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is simple and powerful: turn complexity into clarity. I believe every golfer deserves an approach that's built entirely around them — their individual movement patterns, physical capabilities, and learning style. There's no one-size-fits-all method here. If something isn't clicking one way, I'll find another way to get the message across, and I never give up on a student. I take a fact-based approach to coaching — I encourage my players to track on-course statistics so we can identify real areas for improvement and map out a clear, purposeful path forward. When needed, I collaborate with trusted physical therapists and strength & conditioning coaches to make sure we're working in line with your body, not against it. Simplicity is key. Everything we do together should be clear, easy to follow, and rooted in purpose. Whether you're a complete beginner, a junior chasing county success, or an experienced club golfer looking to sharpen your game, my goal is for every session to feel like an elite coaching experience — built entirely around you. I also believe in consistency and accountability. That's why I offer blended coaching formats — combining in-person sessions with regular video feedback and remote support — so your development doesn't stop when you leave the lesson tee. I offer a free consultation for all new students, because I want to understand your game and your goals before we even begin.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional with over 15 years of experience helping golfers at every level unlock their true potential. From complete beginners picking up a club for the first time, to juniors competing at county level, to club champions and professionals — I've worked with them all, and I love every part of it.
My coaching is grounded in personalisation, data, and simplicity. I use TrackMan 4 launch monitor technology in all sessions to ensure every piece of feedback is accurate and meaningful. I'm also US Kids Golf certified, with a genuine passion for junior development — and a real track record of turning young players new to the game into county tournament competitors.
For years I was based at The Essex Golf Room, building a community of golfers and coaching students across Essex and Surrey. I've recently made an exciting move to Devon with my family, and I'm evolving my coaching setup to be more flexible and far-reaching than ever — whether you're local and want to meet on the range, or you're on the other side of the world and just need a reliable coach in your corner.
I offer hybrid programmes (monthly in-person sessions backed by video analysis and remote support), fully online programmes with regular swing reviews and tailored drills, and one-off sessions for a fresh technical perspective. I also offer a free consultation for every new student — because the best coaching relationship starts with a real conversation about your game and your goals.
