About the coach
I'm Salvatore 'Sal' Biondo, a baseball coach based in the Chicago suburbs with a passion for player development rooted in both elite playing experience and data-driven methodology. I played college baseball as a pitcher at Concordia University Chicago from 2017 to 2020, where I was part of a nationally dominant program — seven straight conference titles, back-to-back College World Series appearances (2017 & 2018), and a #1 national ranking in Division III. Competing at that level gave me a firsthand understanding of what separates good players from great ones, and I've been channeling that experience into coaching ever since. After graduating with a B.S. in Physical Education in 2020, I went on to earn my MBA in 2022. Today, I serve as a Head JV Baseball Coach in the Chicago area while also delivering private lessons to athletes ranging from youth beginners to serious high school competitors — over 500 lessons and counting. What sets my coaching apart is my investment in the science of the game. I'm both Rapsodo and Driveline certified, which means I use proven, data-backed systems to evaluate and develop pitchers and hitters with precision. As a current educator, I also know how to connect with athletes of all ages and learning styles.
