Teaching Philosophy
Having spent 14 years competing at the highest levels of professional golf — from the DP World Tour to major championships — I've seen firsthand what separates golfers who improve from those who stagnate. It almost always comes down to the quality of their practice and the clarity of their approach, not just their technique. I tailor every lesson to the individual in front of me. There's no one-size-fits-all method here. I use detailed video analysis to give you a clear picture of what's actually happening in your swing, and I translate that into simple, actionable steps you can take straight to the range. Beyond the technical, I place just as much emphasis on effective practice routines and the mental habits that drive long-term progress — because a better swing on the range only matters if it holds up on the course. Whether you're a competitive player chasing scratch or a weekend golfer who just wants to enjoy the game more, my goal is the same: to help you get the very best out of your game with coaching that genuinely fits who you are and where you want to go.
About the coach
I'm a Welsh professional golfer with over 14 years of experience competing at the elite level, including 300+ events on the DP World Tour and Hotel Planner Tour, three professional victories on the European Challenge Tour, and appearances in three major championships — two Open Championships and the US Open. Golf has been my life since I first picked up a club at age 3, and representing Wales internationally as an amateur before turning pro in 2011 gave me a foundation that shaped everything I do on the course.
Now, I channel all of that hard-won experience into helping golfers of all abilities play better, score lower, and enjoy the game more. I'm based at Burghill Valley Golf Club in Herefordshire, where I also contribute to junior golf development — a part of the game I'm hugely passionate about.
What I bring to coaching is something no classroom can teach: an intimate understanding of what it actually takes to perform under pressure, maintain consistency, and keep improving over the long haul. I've learned from some of the best PGA professionals in the game, studied a wide range of coaching styles, and combined those insights with my own playing experiences to develop a well-rounded, player-first approach to instruction.
