Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is built on the belief that every golfer — regardless of ability — has the potential to improve when given the right guidance and tools. Having competed at the highest levels of professional golf, from the European Tour to the Sunshine Tour, I've experienced firsthand what it takes to perform under pressure and develop a game that holds up when it matters most. I bring that hard-won insight into every lesson I give. I use TrackMan launch monitor technology to deliver data-driven feedback, removing guesswork and giving my students a clear picture of exactly what's happening with their ball flight, swing path, and impact conditions. But data alone doesn't make great golfers — I combine it with a personalised, player-first approach that takes into account each individual's goals, physical capabilities, and learning style. I've been fortunate to shadow some of the world's finest coaches and players throughout my competitive career, and I continue to filter that knowledge into my teaching every day. Whether you're a complete beginner picking up a club for the first time or a competitive amateur looking to sharpen your game, my goal is the same: to give you the clarity, confidence, and tools to play your best golf.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional with over 10 years of teaching experience and a playing career that has taken me around the world — from the fairways of Ireland to the competitive circuits of South Africa and Europe. Currently serving as Head PGA Professional at Roganstown Hotel & Country Club in County Dublin, I bring a rare combination of elite playing pedigree and dedicated coaching expertise to every student I work with.
My amateur career saw me represent Ireland at multiple underage levels before earning a golf scholarship to Wofford College in South Carolina, where I was named SoCon Freshman of the Year. After completing my degree and representing Ireland at senior amateur level, I turned professional and went on to compete on the European Tour, Challenge Tour, and Sunshine Tour. My proudest professional achievements include winning the Bobby Locke Award as the Sunshine Tour Rookie of the Year in the 2017–18 season, winning the PGA Irish Club Professional Championship at Dromoland Castle, and accumulating over 50 professional victories worldwide.
Through my years competing alongside and observing some of the world's best players and coaches, I've developed a deep understanding of what separates good golfers from great ones — and I channel that knowledge directly into my teaching. I use TrackMan technology to provide detailed, data-backed lesson reports and video feedback, ensuring every student leaves with a clear path to improvement. I work with golfers of all abilities, from beginners to competitive players, and tailor every session to the individual in front of me. My passion for coaching has only grown stronger with every year, and I'm committed to helping each of my students unlock their very best game.
