Teaching Philosophy
I believe the gap between a good golfer and a great one is rarely just technical — it's about how you perform when the pressure is on. My approach starts with building a thorough understanding of your swing, your patterns, and your tendencies. From there, we don't just fix mechanics on the range; we design practice that simulates real consequence, so that when you step onto the first tee or face a pressure putt, your body and mind already know what to do. The best players don't wait for pressure to find them — they train for it. Most golfers do the opposite, and that's where I can make the biggest difference. I bring an internationally shaped perspective to every lesson — having competed in England, played collegiate golf in the U.S., caddied on tour around the world, and coached players at the highest levels of professional golf. That breadth of experience means I can meet you exactly where you are, whether you're picking up a club for the first time or chasing a tour card. I use video analysis and modern technology to give you clear, objective feedback, but I always prioritise feel and understanding over jargon. My goal is for you to leave every session not just better, but more confident and more equipped to keep improving on your own.
About the coach
I'm a three-time Golf Digest Best Young Teacher in America and Lead Instructor at Golf House Academy in Atlanta, Georgia — and my journey to the lesson tee is anything but conventional. I grew up in West Sussex, England, where I developed my game at Reigate Grammar School, becoming Surrey Schools Individual Champion and representing the British Independent Schools. I moved to the United States to play collegiate golf at Nova Southeastern University, where I was part of the team that won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2012 — still one of the most formative experiences of my athletic career. After college, I deepened my connection to the professional game by caddying internationally for European Tour winner Ben Taylor, including at The Open Championship. That experience — walking inside the ropes at the highest level — gave me an irreplaceable understanding of how elite players think, compete, and manage their games under pressure. I went on to coach players on the PGA TOUR, the European Tour, and the Korn Ferry Tour, building a reputation as one of the most technically sharp and results-driven coaches in the country. Golf Digest has now recognised me as a Best Young Teacher in America across three consecutive cycles (2023–24, 2025–26, and 2027–28), placing me among an elite group of instructors under 40 chosen from coast to coast. Today, based at Golf House Academy in Atlanta, I work with golfers of all levels — from complete beginners to competitive amateurs and touring professionals. My international background, tour-level experience, and evidence-based approach mean you're getting coaching that's been tested at every level of the game.
