Teaching Philosophy
Putting is my passion, and I've dedicated thousands of hours of research over many years to truly understanding what it takes to improve a player's performance on the green. My philosophy is simple: knowledge is king. The putt is the outcome of the process that comes before it — if your process is inconsistent, an inconsistent outcome should come as no surprise. That's why I focus on every building block: Green Reading using AimPoint, distance control, start line, set up & structure. I treat every player as an individual. Your putting stroke will be developed around what works best for you specifically — not a one-size-fits-all method. In every session I identify your strengths and weaknesses, then build customised drills for you to take away and practice with purpose. I also teach AimPoint Express, the world's number one green reading system, so you'll step onto any green knowing exactly how to read every putt quickly, accurately, and with complete confidence. Whether you're a complete beginner or an elite competitor, I guarantee you will leave a better player with a deeper understanding of your putting game.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional and Specialist Putting Coach with a national reputation built over more than 15 years of exclusive focus on the green game. I came to professional coaching with a clear vision: to become one of the UK's leading experts in putting — and that's exactly what I've built. I work exclusively with players looking to improve their putting performance, and I've had the privilege of coaching hundreds of players of all abilities, from juniors and club golfers right through to Elite Amateurs, DP World Tour winners & PGA Tour Professionals.
As a Level 2 AimPoint Certified Instructor — one of the highest AimPoint qualifications available — I am the only certified L2 AimPoint instructor in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and one of only a handful in the entire country. AimPoint is the world's number one green reading system, used by over 50% of PGA Tour professionals, and I'm proud to be at the forefront of delivering it to golfers across the UK and beyond. My coaching base is Forest Pines Golf Resort in Broughton, Lincolnshire — home to one of the finest practice greens in the country — where I deliver lessons using Vertex putting technology for precise data-driven feedback alongside AimPoint green reading instruction. I also organise group clinics at select venues across the region throughout the season. Away from individual lessons, I co-host immersive golf coaching breaks at iconic venues including Woodhall Spa in the UK and overseas golf holidays to Turkey and Dubai through the winter months, bringing together specialist instruction in a relaxed and social atmosphere.
My approach is always player-first: I tailor every session to your individual needs, identify the specific areas holding you back, and give you practical, purpose-built drills to take away. - Lesson 1.
- I will explain the background to how (and why) AimPoint works. I'll explain to you what skills you will need to learn and practice to apply to the method - and how to do this.
- We'll start with the short putt read - from 3ft to 6ft. You'll learn how to read these putts using AimPoint and you'll have everything you need to put this straight into play.

- We will recap the information from Lesson 1 and then move onto mid-range putts. You'll learn what changes you'll need to make as putt lengths increase and I'll introduce you to the concept of "directional reads" which will enhance and improve the accuracy of your reads.

- We will recap the information from Lessons 1 and 2, then move onto long range putts, I will also explain to you how to adjust your reads for changing green speeds. We will finish with double breaking putts.

- 1 x 90 minute session. The putt is just the outcome of everything that goes before it. If your pre-putt process is inconsistent (or non-existent), don’t be surprised to see that reflected in your outcome consistency. The secret of an effective pre-putt process is to keep your actions and your focus centred on the task in hand. We’ll work through the “think box” / “play box” process and build in actions to switch from preparation to play. I’ll provide you with a key game to play that will give you your consistency score. As this score increases, your golf score will reduce. As a qualified Master Mind Factor Coach for over 10 years, I have trained with one of the world’s leading performance coaches in Karl Morris and look forward to sharing this knowledge with you.
Single Lesson - Speed & Distance Control
1 Online Lesson- Speed is king on the greens. Learn how to master your distance control skills by understanding the 3 key metrics that are vital to improving your rhythm, timing and tempo. I will require a face on video of you hitting a putt to 10ft, 20ft & 30ft. I will analyse your current technique and provide a clear explanation & demonstration of the changes you need to make along with drills to make your time on the practice green as effective as possible.
