Teaching Philosophy
I don’t just coach swings. I coach golfers. After twelve years competing on tours around the world, European, Asian, Japan, I learned something that no practice range can teach: how you practice matters far more than how much you practice. That shaped everything about how I work with players today. My job isn’t to push information at someone. It’s to make sure that what I say actually lands. Most coaches obsess over what to teach. I obsess over whether it was received. Technique matters, but it’s one ingredient in a much larger recipe. The real question is whether your technical work transfers to the course. That’s where most coaching falls short, and where I focus hardest. Split attention is the score killer at every level. Single-minded focus on the shot in front of you is the single biggest performance lever available to any golfer. I design drills that let players practice technique while keeping their attention on playing the shot. The goal is always transfer: from range to course, from practice to competition. I’ve worked directly with world-class minds in golf and psychology. Bob Rotella, Deborah Graham, Ed Coughlan, Mark McCumber, Dan Carraher and others. Every player I work with is an individual. No two players get the same coaching. I’m not interested in rigid instruction or transactional lessons. I’m interested in the development of the player.
About the coach
I’m a former professional golfer turned coach, and the game has taken me everywhere. From Waterford, Ireland to Jacksonville, Florida, and then to fairways across Europe, the US, South Africa, South America, and all around Asia over a twelve-year professional career.
As an amateur, I was the only Irish player ever to qualify for two US Opens. As joint medalist for Pebble Beach in 2010 and as medalist for Merion in 2013, where I made the cut. I represented Ireland 43 times, played Walker Cup for Great Britain and Ireland at National Golf Links of America, and competed in the Eisenhower Trophy, the Palmer Cup, and the St Andrews Trophy.
At the University of North Florida I was a four-time All-ASUN First Team selection and an NCAA Honorable Mention All-American.
As a professional, I earned my European Tour card at Q-School in 2013. My best results on tour include T-2 at the Joburg Open, T-3 at the Hassan II Golf Trophy, T-3 at the Hong Kong Open, and T-6 at the Tshwane Open. I competed across the European Tour, Challenge Tour, Asian Tour, and Japan Tour.
Now I channel everything I learned competing at the highest level into coaching. My degree in Psychology from UNF, combined with direct work alongside Dr. Bob Rotella, Deborah Graham, Mark McCumber, Dan Carraher, and Dr Ed Coughlan, gives me a framework that goes well beyond technique.
I coach the whole game.
Technique, behaviour, practice structure, and on-course performance. I treat every player as an individual. No two players get the same coaching.

Kevin is a master of the golf swing, provided some great drills to work on and I am already seeing improvements first day back out on the course.
