Teaching Philosophy
I believe every golfer is an individual, and great coaching starts with understanding who you are as a player. My approach is holistic — I look at every aspect of your game, from the full swing and short game to course management and the mental side, and build a plan that's uniquely yours. Over 30 years of playing and coaching at every level around the world has taught me that lasting improvement comes from blending sound fundamentals with clear, simple communication. I use state-of-the-art TrackMan launch monitor technology and high-speed video analysis to give you real data to support every change we make. Whether you're a beginner just starting out or a competitive player chasing scratch, I meet you where you are and work with you to get where you want to go. I've been fortunate to learn from some of the world's greatest instructors — David Leadbetter, Sean Foley, Jim Hardy, and Chris O'Connell — and I bring the best of that knowledge into every lesson. My goal is always to make things simple, actionable, and fun, so you leave each session more confident and better equipped to score.
About the coach
I'm an Advanced PGA Professional with over 30 years of worldwide experience in the game of golf, based at NXGEN Golf in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Originally from Kent, England, I followed a decorated junior career to earn a golf scholarship to Florida Atlantic University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts before turning professional in 2000 and competing on tours around the world. That playing experience gave me a deep understanding of what it truly takes to perform under pressure — something I bring into every coaching session.
My path into full-time coaching began when I qualified as a PGA Class A Professional in 2005 and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2006, where I worked alongside renowned instructor Jonathan Yarwood, assisting in the coaching of PGA Tour players including a US Open Champion, as well as LPGA professionals and elite amateurs. Since then, I've built a coaching record I'm proud of: my students have competed and won on the PGA, LPGA, Korn Ferry, and Epson Tours, earned Solheim Cup selections, secured NCAA Division I scholarships, and claimed prestigious junior titles.
I'm a certified Plane Truth Level 2 Instructor, mentored by Jim Hardy and Chris O'Connell, and a TrackMan Golf Certified coach. As Co-Founder of NXGEN Golf — Sarasota's only indoor TrackMan simulator studio — I'm able to offer world-class instruction and data-driven analysis in a premier environment, year-round.
