About the coach
Hi, I’m Jesse — a professional golfer transitioning into full-time instruction.
Golf has been my passion from an early age. My dad played 9 years in the NBA and inspired me to pursue a career in professional sports. Even though I didn’t start competing until I was 14, I became the Texas Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year in 2013-14 and went on to play collegiately at the University of California, Davis. I graduated in 2019 and turned pro right away.
Since then, I’ve competed on various mini tours, Monday qualifiers, US Open qualifiers, state opens, and Q-School. Along the way, I’ve trained under some of the game’s most respected instructors and fitness professionals — including Derek Uyeda, Joey Wuertemberger, Justin Poynter, and Jarrett Phillips — many of whom have been recognized by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.
I began teaching in 2023 at Brookhaven Country Club just outside Dallas, TX, where I’ve had the opportunity to learn from seasoned instructors — including one who coached a young Jordan Spieth.
These experiences give me a unique perspective on the game. I don’t just teach technique — I also help with course management, the mental game, tournament preparation, structured practice plans, and overall player development.
Whether you’re brand new to golf or chasing competitive goals, I’d love to be part of your journey.
