Teaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is rooted in a simple belief: every golfer can improve when given the right feedback and the right tools. Having played the game at a professional level, I understand what it takes to build a reliable, repeatable swing — and I bring that insight into every lesson I give. Since joining the Jim McLean Golf School system in 2004, I've built my teaching around the power of video analysis. Being able to show students exactly what their body and club are doing — frame by frame — removes all the guesswork and creates a clear, shared understanding of what needs to change. From there, I use specific, proven drills to help those changes become natural and lasting. I work with beginners, juniors, weekend golfers, and competitive players alike. Every student gets a personalised plan based on their current game and their goals. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to compete at a higher level, I'll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go. Teaching isn't just my job — it's my passion. And after more than two decades on the lesson tee, that passion hasn't faded one bit.
About the coach
I'm a golf professional who has dedicated over 20 years to the craft of teaching, and improvement is at the heart of everything I do. My journey in golf began as a competitive player — I had the privilege of playing at a professional level, mainly in the Spanish Professional Tour, including appearance on the European Challenge Tour, before making the deliberate choice to channel my passion for the game into coaching. In 2004, I joined the Jim McLean Golf Schools, one of the world's most respected teaching organisations, and that experience shaped my entire philosophy as an instructor. I became a specialist in golf video analysis — a discipline that transformed the way I teach and the results I deliver for my students. Using detailed video review and precisely targeted drills, I give every golfer a clear picture of their swing and a structured path to improvement. I'm based at Calanova Golf Club in Mijas Costa, on Spain's beautiful Costa del Sol, where I lead what has been described as one of the most attractive golf schools in Europe with 5vstar rating. Over the years I've worked with students of every age and ability — from total beginners to competitive players — and the diversity of that experience has made me a more effective and adaptable coach.
