Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is built on a simple but powerful idea: every golfer is already an athlete — they just need to learn to move like one. The 'Swing Like an Athlete™' framework I teach with Milo Lines Golf is all about working with your body's natural mechanics rather than against them, creating more power, consistency, and freedom in every swing. I believe real improvement comes from understanding the why behind every drill and feel. I take time to ask the right questions, understand where you are mentally and physically, and then build a clear, personalized plan. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all instruction — whether you're a 30-handicapper trying to break 90 or an elite amateur chasing scratch, the approach has to fit you. My years caddying on the LPGA Tour have sharpened my eye and broadened my perspective enormously. Watching the best women's players in the world compete in major championships up close has given me insights into not just how to swing better, but how to manage your game, your mind, and your body on the course. That's knowledge I bring directly into every lesson. I use video analysis, launch monitor data, and green reading systems to give you the most complete picture of your game possible. But I also know that the best coaching happens in the conversation — when a student has that 'aha' moment and walks off the range hitting it better than they ever have before. That's what gets me excited to coach every single day.
About the coach
I'm a PGA of America professional and lead coach at Milo Lines Golf, based in the Phoenix, Arizona area, with over 25 years of competitive and coaching experience at every level of the game. My journey started at age seven in Maine, where I fell in love with the game and went on to win the Maine State Junior Championship in all three age divisions. As a collegiate player at Elms College, I won 13 individual titles in four years and captained our team to the 2014 NCAA Division III Championship — the first in program history.
After college, I served as an assistant professional at multiple high-level clubs before becoming Head Golf Coach for both the Men's and Women's Golf Teams at Bates College. Since 2021, I've been the lead coach and partner to Milo Lines, building an Online Academy that has transformed the games of over 2,500 members worldwide, while co-hosting 30+ in-person golf schools across the West Coast.
Since 2020, I've also had the unique privilege of caddying full-time on the LPGA Tour for my wife, Dana Fall. We've competed in all five major championships — including the 2025 U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills — giving me a rare front-row seat to the highest level of the sport. That experience has sharpened my coaching eye considerably and brought Tour-caliber perspectives on swing mechanics, course management, fitness, and club fitting into my everyday teaching.
I offer in-person lessons at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, AZ and Back Nine Golf in Gilbert, AZ, as well as online lessons for students anywhere in the world. Whether you're just starting out or chasing your lowest round ever, I'd love to help you Swing Like an Athleteâ„¢.
