Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is simple: help every golfer get the most out of the game they have and the opportunities they have. I believe golfers improve most when they understand their own game and have a clear, simple plan to work towards. Rather than overwhelming players with technical information, I aim to identify the changes that will have the biggest impact and give them practical ways to work on them. Every golfer is different. Their swing, experience, physical abilities, goals and the amount of time they can dedicate to practice will all vary. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My coaching is personalised to the individual and built around what they are capable of achieving. I combine swing positions with ball-flight goals, helping golfers understand not just what they need to change, but why they need to change it and what effect it should have on the golf ball. Most importantly, I want improvements to transfer onto the course. A technically better swing means very little if it doesn't help you hit better shots and shoot lower scores. Whether you're a beginner learning the game, a golfer looking to lower your handicap, or a competitive player chasing your next level, my aim is to give you a better understanding of your own game, a clear path forward and the confidence to know what you're working towards. Golf should be challenging, but improvement doesn't have to be complicated.
About the coach
Want to shoot lower scores and get the most out of your game? Let’s work together.
I’m a 3rd-year PGA Trainee Professional based at Piltdown Golf Club in East Sussex, with a passion for helping golfers understand their own game and reach their potential.
My playing background has taken me from representing Sussex at both junior and men’s level, to competing for the South East England regional team. In 2019 I won the Sussex Amateur Championship and become one of very few player in the tournaments history to win the Qualifying stage and the Match Play stage. Since turning professional I have won multiple Sussex PGA Professional Championships, Won more than 10 Pro-Ams across England and Europe, and spent two years competing on the PGA EuroPro Tour (2 Tours below the DP World Tour).
Alongside my own playing, I’ve spent the last two years developing as a coach, delivering 300+ in-person lessons and working with coaches at an elite level. These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of both the golf swing and, more importantly, how to communicate and coach it effectively.
My coaching is built around one simple goal: helping you shoot lower scores with the opportunities you have.
I understand that not everyone has access to elite practice facilities or 30 hours a week to dedicate to golf. Your coaching should fit around your life, not the other way around. Whether you have 30 minutes a week or several hours to practice, I want to help you make the most of the time you are willing and able to give.
My lessons are simple, easy to understand and completely personalised to you. I combine swing positions with ball-flight goals, helping you understand what your swing is doing, why the ball is reacting the way it is, and what you can do to change it.
I believe golfers improve most when they understand their own game, have a clear and simple plan, and work towards small goals that build confidence and progress over time.
I work with golfers of all abilities, from beginners taking their first steps in the game through to competitive and elite players. Wherever you are starting from, my aim is the same: to help you become a better golfer, shoot lower scores and enjoy the process along the way.
I became a coach because I’m completely consumed by this sport. I love golf, I love learning about it, and most of all, I love seeing someone experience the satisfaction of doing something they once thought they couldn’t.
