Teaching Philosophy
I believe every golfer is different, and that the best coaching starts with truly understanding where you are in your game — and where you want to go. Whether you're a complete beginner picking up a club for the first time or an experienced player looking to sharpen a specific part of your game, I tailor every lesson to suit your individual needs and learning style. I use Trackman technology in our swing studio to give you real, objective data on your ball flight, club path, and impact conditions — because facts don't lie, and knowing exactly what's happening at impact is the fastest way to make lasting improvements. At the same time, I firmly believe that great golf isn't just built on the range. That's why I also offer course-based sessions where we work on course management, decision-making, and the playing situations you actually face on the scorecard. My goal is always to make coaching accessible, enjoyable, and effective — giving you clear, simple feedback you can act on immediately. Good golf should feel achievable, and I'm here to help make that happen.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional based at Baberton Golf Club in Edinburgh, one of Scotland's finest parkland courses. With a passion for helping golfers of all abilities unlock their potential, I offer a comprehensive range of coaching services designed to cover every aspect of the game.
From individual lessons on the range and Trackman-based sessions in our fully equipped swing studio, to group classes and on-course coaching focused on course management and real playing situations — I provide a complete coaching experience backed by the latest technology. I also offer custom club fitting, ensuring your equipment is working with your swing, not against it.
As a registered PGA (GB&I) member and active tournament competitor, I bring both a coach's eye and a player's perspective to every lesson. I understand the pressures of the game and what it takes to perform when it counts. My approach is straightforward: use the best available data and technology, keep communication clear and practical, and make every session enjoyable.
