Teaching Philosophy
My coaching is built around three things: clarity, structure, and accountability. I've seen too many golfers bounce from tip to tip without a real plan, and I've made it my mission to change that. When you work with me, you'll know exactly what we're working on, why we're working on it, and how to measure your progress. I'm not interested in quick fixes — I want to build golfers who have reliable, repeatable swings they can trust under pressure. I use a data-driven approach, incorporating video analysis, biomechanical assessment, and launch monitor technology to give you an objective picture of your game. But data without context is just numbers. My job is to translate that information into simple, actionable steps that make sense for your body and your goals. I've worked with players at every level — from first-timers to Tour professionals — and I understand that great instruction has to be personalized. Growth of the game is also a core part of my coaching identity. I believe golf should be accessible, engaging, and fun at every level. Whether you're a junior golfer just starting out, a lady picking up the game for the first time, or a scratch player chasing a competitive edge, I'll meet you where you are and build a clear path forward. If you're looking for quick tips, I'm probably not your guy. But if you want a real plan and real improvement, let's get to work.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional and the Head of Player Development at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia — and I've spent my career earning the right to be called one of the best teachers in the country.
Growing up in South Georgia, I excelled in baseball and golf, going on to play college golf at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College before serving in the United States Marine Corps. That experience shaped the discipline and attention to detail I bring to every lesson. After being medically retired from the Marine Corps, I earned my PGA of America Class A membership in 2015 and launched my teaching career — starting as Director of Instruction at The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island and building my reputation at high-end private clubs across the Southeast.
Over the course of my career I've been named the 2025 Georgia PGA Section Teacher of the Year, a three-time PGA Chapter Teacher of the Year, recognized by Golf Digest as a Best Teacher in State and Best Young Teacher in America, and listed by GOLF Magazine as a Top 100 Teacher to Watch. I'm also a member of the Callaway National Fitters Board and have been named a GRAA Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional consistently since 2018.
My work goes beyond individual lessons. I've built junior academies that increased youth participation by 150%, designed structured programs for ladies' groups, and created performance center leagues to keep students accountable and engaged year-round. I've taught every level of player — beginners, competitive juniors, club champions, and Tour professionals.
In-person lessons are available at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. Online coaching is available to golfers anywhere in the world — delivering the same level of detailed analysis and structured programming that my in-person students receive.
