Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is simple: it's all about YOU. Every golfer is different, and I believe the most lasting improvement comes when a student truly understands their own swing — not just what to fix, but why and how to fix it themselves. I focus on building self-awareness and the ability to self-correct, because that's what separates golfers who improve for a season from those who improve for life. The club face and path are controlled by the hands and arms, supported by the rest of the body — once you understand that relationship, the game becomes a lot clearer. Whether we're working on your full swing, dialing in your short game, or rebuilding your putting stroke from the ground up, I'll give you customized video feedback, clear demonstrations, and specific drills so you actually know what to practice and why. I've been fortunate to learn from PGA Hall of Famer Bob Toski and six of the world's Top 50 instructors, and I bring that depth of knowledge into every lesson — delivered with the patience and clarity of an educator. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or grinding toward a competitive handicap, I'm here to build a game that holds up when it matters most.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Associate, former collegiate golfer, and dedicated golf coach based out of StoneWater Golf Club in Highland Heights, Ohio. My journey in golf began at Keiser University, where I competed on the golf team while earning a degree in Golf Management and a Bachelor's degree in Education — a combination that shapes everything about how I teach. I had the rare privilege of being mentored by PGA Hall of Famer Bob Toski, and I've had the opportunity to shadow and learn from six of the world's Top 50 golf instructors. That foundation gives me a deep, multi-faceted understanding of the golf swing and what it truly takes to help golfers improve. At StoneWater's Linksman Golf Academy, I serve as the club's Putting Specialist and short-game coach, with a particular passion for youth player development. I've helped hundreds of golfers — from complete beginners to competitive juniors and adults — build real confidence and shoot lower scores. My lessons go beyond swing tips: I deliver personalized video analysis, custom drills, and clear, actionable feedback designed to make changes that actually stick on the course. I'm also certified in David Orr's Flatstick methodology, Impact Zone principles, and Mizuno club fitting, so I can address every element of your game and equipment.
