Teaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is built on one core belief: keep it simple. Golf as an industry has a habit of overcomplicating things, and I think that does more harm than good for most players. After nearly three decades working with golfers of every age and ability — from junior beginners all the way through to county competitors and satellite tour players — I've learned that the most impactful improvements often come from focusing on the right details, communicated clearly and simply. I pride myself on being a good listener. Every golfer who comes to me has different goals, a different game, and a different learning style, and I believe it's my job to meet you where you are. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to sharpen a specific part of your game, I'll use the latest technology — including Flightscope launch monitor analysis — alongside my years of experience to give you practical, actionable feedback you can actually use. What genuinely drives me is seeing people improve. It doesn't matter how big or small the change — watching a golfer make a breakthrough, feel that click of understanding, and walk away with more confidence in their game is massively satisfying. I continually invest in my own development through additional PGA courses to ensure my coaching reflects modern techniques, but I'll always translate that into something straightforward and relevant for you.
