Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is holistic. I don't just look at your swing in isolation — I consider the whole picture: your technique, your mindset, your physical capabilities, and your goals. Golf is a complex, deeply personal game, and I believe every student deserves a tailored approach rather than a one-size-fits-all method. Having played the game competitively for years — grinding through mini tours, Q Schools, winning events, and missing cuts — I understand what it truly takes to improve under pressure. That experience means I can empathise with the frustrations and breakthroughs you'll face on your journey. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or chasing a single-figure handicap, I give my full commitment to every single golfer I work with. I never give anything less than 100%, because I know that real progress comes from a genuine partnership between coach and player. My job is to make the game simpler, more enjoyable, and more rewarding for you.
About the coach
I'm a fully qualified PGA Professional with over 10 years of coaching experience and 30 years of playing the game I love. My story started at age 10, inspired by my father who was a decent single-figure golfer. From that first swing, I was hooked. By my early twenties I had reached a +3 handicap and made the leap into the professional game, spending five years competing on the mini tours and Q Schools — winning events, learning hard lessons, and experiencing everything that competitive golf has to offer. At 28, I transitioned into coaching and quickly realised I had found my true calling: helping other golfers play better, feel more confident, and enjoy this incredible game more deeply. I'm based at Bristol Golf Centre — a first class facility — and I offer both in-person and online lessons to students around the world. I welcome players of every level and background. No matter where you are in your golf journey, you'll get my complete focus, genuine passion, and years of hard-won experience every time we work together.
