Teaching Philosophy
My approach to teaching is built on one simple belief: every golfer — from a 6-year-old picking up a club for the first time to an adult looking to finally break 90 — deserves instruction that's clear, encouraging, and built around their individual goals. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all swing model. Instead, I focus on understanding what makes each student tick, what their body is capable of, and what changes will give them the fastest, most lasting improvement. After thousands of lessons, I've learned that the best teaching happens when a student feels comfortable enough to make mistakes, ask questions, and try something new. That's the environment I strive to create every single time. Whether we're working on the fundamentals of the full swing, sharpening the short game, or developing the mental habits that separate good players from great ones, my job is to give you the tools and the confidence to take your game further than you thought possible. I'm equally passionate about junior development — watching a young player fall in love with this game is one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and I take that responsibility seriously.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Associate and the Head Teaching Professional at Tin Cup Golf NKY in Fort Wright, Kentucky — a role I've held for over four years and one I'm incredibly proud of. In that time, I've had the privilege of teaching hundreds of lessons to golfers of every background, age, and ability level, from complete beginners swinging a club for the very first time to competitive players chasing lower scores. Tin Cup Golf is a premier Northern Kentucky facility powered by Toptracer Range technology, which means my students benefit from instant, data-driven feedback on every shot — making each session more efficient and more fun. Beyond individual instruction, I'm deeply invested in growing the game at the grassroots level. I serve as the Head Golf Coach at Beechwood High School in Fort Mitchell, KY, where I work with student-athletes to develop both their skills and their character on and off the course. I also run one of Northern Kentucky's largest PGA Jr. League programs, welcoming kids ages 6–13 to learn the game in a fun, team-based environment with practices, competitive matches, and a shot at the end-of-season all-star tournament. Whether you're a junior golfer just getting started, a high schooler looking to compete, or an adult ready to finally take your game seriously, I'd love to work with you. Let's build something great together.
