About the coach
Ben Michelon is a 2025 GRAA Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional whose passion is helping junior golfers develop both skill and a lifelong love for the game. Ben currently serves as an Assistant Golf Professional at Glen Oak Country Club, where he instructs within one of the largest junior golf programs in the state of Illinois.
From the driving range to on-course play, Ben thrives on creating a fun, competitive, and confidence-building environment that allows young golfers to succeed and enjoy the learning process. His teaching philosophy centers on simplicity, athletic movement, and making golf approachable for players of all ages and abilities.
In addition to his work at Glen Oak, Ben is the Head Golf Coach at Montini Catholic High School, where his goal is to develop student-athletes capable of competing at the state championship level. He is a PGA Associate and a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Level 2 Coach, further reinforcing his commitment to junior golf development and long-term player growth.
