Teaching Philosophy
At Avoda Golf, our philosophy is built around a simple belief: your equipment should complement your natural swing, not force you to change it. When your equipment doesn't match the way you naturally move, you're often forced to make compensations. Over time, those compensations can become ingrained in your swing and mistaken for mechanical flaws. Before trying to change how you swing the club, we believe it's important to understand whether your equipment is helping or holding you back. Our approach starts by understanding your anatomy and natural movement patterns and how they interact with your current equipment. We evaluate factors such as lie angle, club length, shaft characteristics, clubhead design, and set configuration to identify potential mismatches that may be influencing your ball flight, consistency, and overall performance. We work with golfers of all skill levels and collaborate with coaches to bridge the gap between instruction and equipment fitting. Too often, these are treated as two separate parts of the game. We believe they're fundamentally connected. Understanding how equipment influences a golfer's movement is one of the most overlooked opportunities for improvement in golf. Our goal is simple: to give you a better understanding of your equipment and how it affects your game. Whether that means confirming your current clubs are a great fit, identifying specifications worth adjusting, or exploring an entirely different equipment configuration, we're here to provide insight you can actually use.
