Teaching Philosophy
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to coaching. Every golfer is unique, but I do believe our bodies have a correct and natural way of moving and pivoting that, when understood and applied to your game, will give you the best foundation for power, consistency, and long-term improvement. My goal in every lesson is to make sure you leave with clear, actionable advice — practical drills and ideas you can take straight to the range and the course. I use Foresight Sports technology and the GCQuad launch monitor to give you real data on what's happening with your swing and ball flight, so there's no guesswork — just clear, evidence-based feedback. Whether you're just starting out, working your way down the handicap ladder, or competing at an elite level, I tailor everything to where you are and where you want to go. I've spent over 20 years helping golfers of all abilities improve, and it's still what drives me every day.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Level 3 Professional with over 20 years of experience coaching golfers at every level — from complete beginners picking up a club for the first time, to elite amateurs and professionals competing on the European and Challenge Tours. I'm the founder of The Swing Warehouse, a high-tech indoor golf coaching facility located just 15 minutes from Chelmsford in Essex, equipped with GCQuad launch monitors and Foresight Sports technology — the same tools trusted by the world's top tour professionals. My own playing career took me from representing Essex at county amateur level through to competing on the PGA circuit, serving as Essex PGA Captain, and playing in national PGA events including the Golfbreaks.com PGA Fourball Championship. That playing experience informs everything I do as a coach — I understand what it takes to perform under pressure and how to build a game that holds up. My proudest coaching achievement has been guiding a scratch amateur all the way to a +4 handicap, winning 4 national events including The Lagonda Trophy and competing twice in the Dubai Desert Classic, ultimately earning a European/Challenge Tour card. At The Swing Warehouse, I also offer custom club fitting and club repair services alongside coaching, making it a complete destination for golfers serious about improving their game. Whether you're working on your swing in person or taking lessons remotely through video analysis, I'm here to help you make real, lasting progress.
