About the coach

Welcome to Andrew Hickey Golf.

I believe our swings should produce:

1. Consistent low point control
2. Consistent start line
3. Predictable curvature on the ball

As your coach, I want to help you achieve these 3 things that will add to your success. Although I don’t follow a specific method, as I believe every individual is unique, the changes I implement will be built around those 3 points.

My experience in golf started 20 years ago when I picked up a club. Throughout my career as a player, I competed at all levels. From club to international. I represented my country, my province, and my home club. I had a number of wins over the years, with my proudest win as a professional at the Irish PGA Assistants Championship in 2023 on -16. From all of these experiences, I understand what golfers face when they approach the course and I have seen patterns that are successful and some that aren’t as successful.

Throughout my years of coaching, I have been fortunate enough to learn from and work with some tour players, former tour players, tour coaches, tour caddies and top psychologists. This has given me valuable insight into what top performers in their areas do.

What I can assure you as your coach, I will give clarity on a clear blueprint to allow you to achieve your golfing goals.
