Teaching Philosophy
I believe that great golf starts with understanding your own game — your tendencies, your patterns, and your personal blueprint for improvement. My job isn't to hand you a one-size-fits-all swing; it's to help you build awareness of what's actually happening and give you the tools to fix it yourself, on the course, under pressure. Having competed at a high level — from qualifying for The Open at St. Andrews to collegiate golf in the USA and active PGA competition — I know what it takes to perform when it counts. I bring that competitive experience directly into my coaching, whether I'm working with a complete beginner or a low-handicap player looking to take the next step. I use modern technology and video analysis to make lessons clear, actionable, and easy to understand. My students leave with specific drills and checkpoints — not vague feelings. I'm passionate about helping every player grow into the best version of themselves on a golf course, and I genuinely believe that better ball striking and smarter strategy can unlock that potential for anyone who's committed to improving.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Teaching and Playing Professional based at Tickenham golf centre in Somerset, England, with a passion for helping golfers of all abilities strike the ball better and shoot consistently lower scores.
My own playing career took me from growing up in Clevedon, England, to competing as a Two-Time NJCAA First Team All-American in the United States, before earning a spot on the NCAA Division I team at Virginia Commonwealth University. My competitive highlights include qualifying for The 144th Open Championship at St. Andrews and winning a PGA regional event with an 8-under-par 62 — so I understand the game from the inside out.
As a coach, I focus on building real awareness — helping you understand your own tendencies and patterns so you can play better and more consistently. I use video analysis and modern coaching technology to make every lesson clear, concise, and backed up with practical drills you can take straight to the course. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to sharpen a game that's already competitive, I'll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go.
In addition to in-person lessons at Tickenham golf centre , I offer online coaching so you can get expert feedback no matter where you are in the world. I've completed over 159 online lessons and have helped golfers immediately improve their ball striking, distance, and consistency.
