You can review these videos at any time. âźď¸đ˛How to Film Your Golf Swingâźď¸ Properly filming your golf swing ensures you have a consistent library of swings for accurate analysis and comparison as you improve. Misaligned videos can distort your swing and make effective analysis difficult. Hereâs a guide to get you started: Equipment Needed: đĽPhone, Tablet, or Camera: Your phone's camera is typically sufficient. đĽPhone Holder or Tripod: Ensures consistent, aligned videos. đĽAlignment Stick or Extra Club: Helps set up your target line reference. Filming Angles: Down-the-Line (DTL): Place the camera 10-12 feet behind you at belt height, centered on your hands. Use an alignment stick down your target line. Optionally, use a second stick perpendicular to the first for consistent foot positioning. Press record, take a practice swing, and adjust the camera as needed. Face-On (FO): Set up the alignment stick target line. Position the camera 10-12 feet away at belt height, aligned with your ball position. Record a practice swing and adjust as needed. Tips: Ensure the camera is belt-high, pointed down your target line, and that the clubhead is visible throughout the swing. Use a camera timer for self-filming to get into position before recording.
