Teaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is straightforward and fact-based. I believe the most important thing I can do for a student is help them understand their tendencies — what's actually happening in their swing or short game — so they can become genuinely self-reliant on the course. Too many golfers are dependent on a tip that works one week and disappears the next. I want my students to know what needs to be done and, more importantly, how to do it, so they can manage their own game with confidence. I have a particular passion for the short game, specifically wedge play. I turned it from a genuine weakness into a strength through years of competing on tough tour tracks around the world, and I know exactly what it takes to build a reliable scoring game. Whether I'm working with a tour professional or a club golfer looking to break 90, my priority is always the same: help you reach your goals and understand the process it takes to get there. Every session is tailored to you — practical, purposeful, and built around making real progress.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional based at RFGA West Hove Golf Club in Brighton, with a competitive background that spans the MENA Tour, European Qualifying Schools, and professional events around the world. My journey in golf began in 2011 and by 2015 I had earned my degree from Birmingham University alongside full PGA Professional status. During my playing career I achieved an Official World Golf Ranking, secured multiple professional victories, and recorded consistent order of merit finishes - experiences that now form the foundation of everything I bring to coaching.
My specialty is the short game. I transformed my own wedge play from a weakness into a genuine strength through years of competing on demanding tour courses, and that hard-won knowledge is something I now share with every student I work with - from scratch players to those just getting started. I coach golfers of all abilities, both in person at West Hove GC and through video analysis and remote lessons for students anywhere in the world.
I'm deeply embedded in the golf world and committed to delivering a coaching experience that's tailored, honest, and results-driven. My goal isn't to make you dependent on lessons - it's to help you understand your game so you can take control of it yourself.
