About the coach

How I Teach:

➡️ Thanks to decades of research and testing, I have learned how to instruct golfers using simple and easy communication to ensure individuals understand their swing through joint movements. This approach is key to correcting the root cause of swing issues. Many times it is not the movement the player thinks, but typically centers around misalignment of the body and joints which directly affects the sequencing of these movements. Instead of changing the swing completely, I will show you how to make simple but proper adjustments to consistently improve your game from tee to green.

➡️ Good instruction should allow the individual to know how to use their body to their advantage. Once the player learns how to use their body, they will then be able to hit better and more precise shots, which equates to lower scores.

About:

➡️ I worked on my own game directly with Hank Haney, one of the games best instructor, from 2000-2003. Despite amazing instruction, I felt my ball striking could be better. At that time, I didn’t realize my deformed left foot and weaker left side affected my swing. Looking back, this is one of the first discussions I should have had with any instructor. Once I understood my limitations of the left side, I began a study to further understand how the joints in the body move throughout the swing. This study allows me to communicate in simple terms to any player the ability to fully understand the moves they need to make.

➡️ I excelled at every level of golf from Junior golf, to collegiate, and Professional. In college I earned 3 time all conference, 2000 MVC champion, Oklahoma State Champion, played in all the major Amateur events from the U.S. AM to the Western, Southern, and many more. From there I turned professional and obtained Nationwide Tour status (Korn Ferry Tour now) by surviving 3 stages of PGA Tour Qualifying tournament in 08.

➡️ Due to playing at every level of competitive golf I can help you with all aspects of your game from full swing to the mental side of tournament prep and competition. I have used this knowledge to help players learning the game to seasoned professionals.

➡️ Other skills that separate me as an instructor is that I also fit and build clubs for Taylormade Golf on the EXP build truck. Due to my high understanding in shafts and players load patterns, I can assist in equipment evaluation and fitting during our sessions.
