Teaching Philosophy
Most of the people I teach are trying to push the club face into the back of the ball, but we swing the weight of the toe. Most of the people I teach are trying to move the club around their body, but it goes over our shoulders. Most of the people I teach face the ball and bend the knees up and down, but we rock from side to side. I can help you with all these misconceptions and more.

I’m Scott Mansfield.
I’ve been helping people enjoy golf since 1996 and have been a Member of the Australian PGA since 2002.
As an amateur and young pro I tried to consume as much instruction on the golf swing as I could and followed all the rituals of alignment sticks on the ground, towels under my arms and endless hours trying to achieve “positions” in the golf swing.
I never improved.
I started looking for something else. And I found it.
The same misunderstandings in golf can also be found in tennis, baseball, swinging on monkey bars and numerous other physical pursuits.
Once you gain a thorough understanding of how to apply forces in the golf swing you can see past the superficial and focus on what matters.
Golf will always be a challenging game but I look forward to helping you realise it’s not as hard as we often make it.
