Teaching Philosophy
I teach players to caddie for themselves: to read the course and know when to play offense and when to play defense. That means preparing with purpose, having the confidence to attack the shots you'd normally play safe around, and the judgment to pull back when protecting your score is the smarter play. Learn to make that call yourself, and you stop reacting to the course and start playing it.
About the coach
Caddying at Pebble Beach, my job every day is simple: help the player in front of me get the most out of the round they're actually playing, not the round they wish they were playing. Thirteen years and 4000-plus players worked for have taught me that every golfer needs something different, and that real coaching happens in the moment, on the shot in front of you, not just in a lesson that ends when you leave the range.
That's who I work best with. The golfer whose scores have been stuck for years despite a solid swing. The competitor gearing up for a member-guest or club championship who needs a real plan, not more hope. The beginner or returning player who just wants a straight path forward, not a hundred conflicting tips. Wherever you're starting, I'll get you further than you'd get on your own, one clear decision at a time.
