Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is simple: great coaching starts with understanding the individual in front of me. No two golfers are the same — everyone brings different physical attributes, goals, and challenges to the lesson tee. Whether you're a complete beginner picking up a club for the first time, a junior looking to develop your game, or an experienced player trying to break through a scoring barrier, I adapt my approach to fit you. I believe that improvement comes from a clear understanding of what's happening in your swing and why — not just from being told what to do. I combine thorough observation with hands-on guidance to help my students build real, lasting changes that hold up on the course. At Nøtterøy GC, I'm lucky to work with excellent practice facilities, including a Trackman-powered driving range and a short game area, which means I can support both the technical and feel-based sides of your development. For my online students, distance is never a barrier to good coaching. Video analysis allows me to give you the same quality of detailed, personalised feedback as an in-person lesson — on your schedule and from wherever you are. My goal is always the same: to help you enjoy the game more by playing it better.
About the coach
I'm a PGA professional and teaching pro based at Nøtterøy Golfklubb in Vestfold, Norway — one of the country's most respected 18-hole championship courses. Golf in Norway is a sport I'm genuinely passionate about, and I've built my coaching career around making the game accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for players at every level.
My teaching experience spans the full range of golfers — I've worked with beginners stepping onto the course for the first time, junior players building the foundations of a long game career, and adult players looking to sharpen specific areas of their performance. That breadth of experience has made me a more versatile and empathetic coach, one who knows that the right cue at the right moment can make all the difference.
Based at a facility with a modern driving range, a dedicated short game area, and a welcoming club environment, I'm well set up to help you improve every aspect of your game — from driving distance and full swing mechanics to the short game shots that really move the needle on your scorecard.
I also offer online lessons for students who can't make it to Nøtterøy in person. Through video analysis and detailed written or video feedback, I can help you make meaningful, lasting progress from wherever you are in the world.
