Teaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is straightforward: there is no single perfect swing model. Every golfer brings a unique body, movement pattern, and way of delivering the club to the ball — and I believe great coaching starts with understanding those individual traits, not overriding them. My goal is to help you produce your personal best ball flight: longer, straighter, and more repeatable. I've always been passionate about the technical side of the full swing, and I use the latest technology alongside structured practice frameworks to give my students clarity and direction — not just in their lessons, but every time they head to the range or the course. I also bring real competitive experience to every lesson. I continue to compete at county, regional, and national level, including Open Qualifying, so I understand firsthand what it takes to perform under pressure and build a game that holds up when it matters. Whether you're a committed club golfer looking to break a scoring barrier, a junior working through county pathways, or a professional wanting to sharpen your striking — I'll meet you where you are and build a clear, honest programme around your game. On the course, I'd always tell you: play golf, not golf swing. Work on your technique in practice, then trust what you've built when it's time to score.
About the coach
I'm an award-winning PGA Professional and full swing specialist based at The National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa — the home of English Golf. I turned professional in 2018 and went on to graduate as the Titleist UK & Ireland PGA Trainee of the Year in 2022, an honour awarded from a field of 240 trainees across Great Britain and Ireland. I've since been recognised as Lincolnshire PGA Professional of the Year and was previously named 2019 Midland Assistant PGA Professional of the Year. My own game has always been built around powerful, efficient ball striking — I've recorded a driver ball speed of 192mph — and that passion for the full swing sits at the heart of everything I coach. At Woodhall Spa, I work across the full spectrum of the game: from ambitious club golfers and juniors developing through county and England regional pathways, to fellow professionals who have competed in senior majors. I am a county coach to Lincolnshire Boys and Girls, and I continue to compete at county, regional, and national PGA level, including Open Qualifying. That competitive commitment keeps my coaching sharp, practical, and grounded in real performance.
