Teaching Philosophy

In today's information-saturated world, golf instruction can feel overwhelming. I've seen countless golfers suffer from 'paralysis by analysis', stuck between conflicting tips and complex swing theories. My mission is to cut through the noise. I provide a clear, effective path to improvement that focuses on the most critical elements required for sustainable progress. My approach is tailored to meet you exactly where you are, providing actionable steps that accelerate your progress without confusion. It's about building a solid foundation, understanding the why behind the change, and ensuring the journey to improvement is effective and enjoyable — for all abilities, all ages, and all aspirations. I use world-class technology including Trackman and Sportsbox AI 3D swing analysis not to complicate the process, but to make feedback precise, visual, and undeniable. Whether you're on the range right beside me or sending swings from the other side of the world, the goal is always the same: measurable, lasting improvement and a lifelong love of this great game.

About the coach

I'm a PGA of Australia Professional (Advanced Coaching) and the Head Golf Professional at Darwin Golf Club in the Northern Territory, where I also run my personal coaching business, KW Golf Performance. With credentials spanning TPI Level 2 (both Golf and Junior), Trackman Level 2, and Sportsbox AI Level 1, I bring a genuinely integrated approach to coaching — one that blends hands-on instruction with cutting-edge technology to deliver results you can actually see and measure.

My coaching is guided by a simple philosophy: 'Your Game Made Simple.' I've worked with countless golfers who've been overwhelmed by conflicting advice and complex swing theories, and I've seen how that confusion holds people back. My approach cuts through the noise. I identify the most important changes for your game, explain the why behind them, and give you clear, actionable steps to make real progress — without the confusion.

As Golf Australia's NT Interstate Junior Coach, I'm deeply committed to growing the game at the grassroots level, helping young players build solid foundations and a genuine love for golf. But my coaching spans all ages and all levels — from first-timers stepping onto the range for the very first time, to competitive players chasing lower scores and better consistency.

How do I receive feedback from my coach?

You will receive feedback from your coach through the Skillest app. Your coach will record their own videos with their analysis as well as additional drills to work on and send them back to you inside the lesson. You can watch your coach’s analysis, which may include video, audio, text, or drawings and see the changes and improvements they suggest for your swing.
