Teaching Philosophy

I believe that golf should feel achievable — not overwhelming. Whether I'm working with a junior who's picked up a club for the first time, or an adult who's always wanted to give the game a proper go, my goal is always the same: build genuine confidence through clear, structured progress. No random tips. No information overload. Just a step-by-step plan that makes sense and actually works on the course. With juniors, I focus on building great habits early — making sessions fun and engaging while laying down the technical foundations that will serve them for life. For beginners, I break the game down into its most important building blocks: solid contact, start direction, short game foundations, and course management basics. Every lesson has a clear focus, every practice session has a purpose. I use Trackman technology to back up what I'm seeing with real data, but I always translate that data into simple, practical cues that golfers can actually use. My sessions are built around confidence, consistency, and enjoyment — because when golfers enjoy the process, they keep coming back and they keep improving.

About the coach

I'm a PGA of Australia Professional and the Head Teaching Professional at the Geelong Golf Academy, one of Australia's largest and most decorated coaching academies. With 7 years of coaching experience across the Geelong region, I specialise in junior development and beginner coaching — two areas I'm genuinely passionate about.

I'm proud to be part of two award-winning programs: the nationally recognised Get Into Golf initiative at Barwon Valley Golf Club, which received Golf Australia's inaugural National Award of Excellence in 2025, and the Victorian award-winning Geelong Junior Golf Academy, recognised as MyGolf Deliverers of the Year. These achievements reflect a coaching environment built on community, inclusion, and real outcomes for everyday golfers.

As a Trackman Certified coach and accredited Professional Junior Instructor, I work across five clubs and facilities throughout greater Geelong — including The Sands Torquay — delivering private lessons, junior clinics, and structured beginner programs. I also bring a competitive edge to my coaching, having shot a career-low of 8-under par, so I understand what it takes to play the game well.

You can watch your coach’s analysis, which may include video, audio, text, or drawings and see the changes and improvements they suggest for your swing. You can also ask your coach follow-up questions and chat with them. You can review your feedback and track your progress anytime, in your browser or in the app.

What are the different types of lesson plans I can purchase?
