Teaching Philosophy
I believe the best coaching comes from a coach who is still in the arena — actively competing at a high level while helping others improve their game. My lessons are built around simplicity and clarity. I've found that the most effective breakthroughs come not from overloading students with information, but from identifying the one or two key changes that will make the biggest difference and communicating them in a way that actually makes sense. Whether you're a complete beginner trying to make contact consistently or an experienced golfer fighting a stubborn slice, I take the time to understand your game, your goals, and your learning style before delivering feedback. Every student receives a personalised video from me — I'll demonstrate exactly what you need to work on and how your swing or body should move. I know from my own competitive career how small technical improvements compound into real, measurable results on the course, and I bring that same drive for precision and progress to every lesson I give.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional and active tournament golfer based in Airdrie, Scotland, with playing experience on the DP World Tour, Hotel Planner Tour, PGA EuroPro Tour, and Tartan Pro Tour. I turned professional in 2019 and have continued to compete at the top level of the domestic game, winning multiple events on the Tartan Pro Tour including the Gleneagles Masters on the PGA Centenary Course — the iconic 2014 Ryder Cup venue — as well as the Leven Links Classic and the Portlethen Classic.
Alongside my competitive career, I've spent over seven years coaching golfers of all abilities, from touring professionals to first-time players. My coaching is grounded in the same work ethic and attention to detail I apply to my own game. I deliver personalised video feedback with a turnaround of less than 48 hours, so you're never left waiting to make progress.
