Teaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is built on one simple belief: understanding why something works is just as important as knowing what to change. I don't believe in overcomplicating the game. Whether you're a complete beginner trying to make your first solid contact or a competitive amateur looking to sharpen your scoring, I work hard to identify the specific issues holding you back and give you clear, actionable steps to fix them. As an active tour professional myself, I bring a real-world perspective to every lesson. I know what it feels like to stand over a putt that matters, to battle through a tough round, and to grind out swing changes on the practice range. That experience means I can communicate the game in a way that's both technically sound and practically useful — no theory for theory's sake. I use personalised video analysis in every lesson, demonstrating exactly what you need to work on and how your swing and body should move. I tailor every session to your game, your goals, and your schedule. My aim is always the same: to give you clarity, confidence, and a concrete plan so you walk away knowing exactly what to practice.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional and active touring pro based in Airdrie, Scotland, competing at the highest levels of the professional game while pursuing my passion for coaching. Since turning professional in 2019, I've competed on the DP World Tour, Challenge Tour, and PGA EuroPro Tour, and I've claimed multiple victories on the Tartan Pro Tour — including wins at the Leven Links Classic, Portlethen Classic, and Gleneagles Masters on the prestigious PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles.
What sets my coaching apart is that I'm not just a teacher — I'm a player living through the same challenges my students face every day. I understand the mechanics, the mental game, and the competitive pressure that comes with trying to improve. That dual perspective allows me to coach with authenticity and empathy, whether I'm working with a first-time golfer or an experienced competitor.
With over 6 years of coaching experience, I've worked with players at every level, from complete beginners taking their first swings to touring professionals fine-tuning their games.
