Teaching Philosophy

Over the last decade, I've arrived at a few major coaching conclusions. First, you can't "slow-motion" the golf swing. The brain can process motion-based instruction, but not positional thoughts. Second, how you move the club creates a chain of events that produces a reactive body. The cause comes before the effects we see. Third, the best students own their swing, and to own it, you need knowledge. That's why I teach through educational courses—knowledge first, simplicity second. Fourth, your inspirations and your fit with a swing pattern mean everything. They unlock real swing development. You are supposed to swing a certain way, but which way is it? That's why I offer different swing styles. Chances are you'll fit one of them better than the others. Finally, swing changes shouldn't take 50,000 reps. If they do, you're probably working on the wrong thing. Change should happen fairly quickly. True ownership takes time, but you should feel the effects almost immediately. Long story short, that's why I provide courses built around education. If you're new to FMM, I recommend starting with the Light Bundle so you can explore the different styles and discover which one fits you best. Once you've found your fit, move on to the Advanced course. It's better in general, and I continue polishing and expanding it with additional material over time. Welcome.

About the coach

When I started beating par regularly, I figured I was good enough to coach. When I started shooting sub-65, I felt I probably needed to do something with it.

That led me to studying two very specific questions:

What sits behind the greatest swings of all time?

And how can it be taught in a way that is both achievable and sustainable? After all, what's the point if it leads to injury?

I found very few answers in modern swing philosophies. But when I started diving into old-school golf, the answers began to appear.

Harmony. Fluidity. Acceleration. Complete decisiveness.

Heavier clubs. Spinnier balls. Fewer injuries.

This was the world that built the game's greatest ball strikers.

The books often contained fragments—quotes, sayings, and ideas that were difficult to interpret. Golf is hard to describe, after all. Ernest Jones spent an entire book talking about swinging the clubhead, only to arrive at the conclusion that you ultimately need to figure it out yourself.

My goal is to go one step further.

To explain those old-school ideas in a way that is actually understandable and usable.

Is it 100% accurate? Probably not.

Is it 100% correct? Probably not.

But I do believe it's a better answer than any I found along the way.

Big Arc Swinger = My learnings from players such as Nicklaus, Weiskopf, Watson, Seve, Adam Scott, young Rory, Scheffler and, of course, Tiger Woods. A pattern built around creating the biggest arc possible and using that space for speed and consistency.

Aggressive Fluid Release = My take on Ben Hogan. Not a replica, but an achievable version of the inner layer behind the master of masters. It's my newest protocol and will continue evolving over time. It only took seven years to create.

Trail Power Hitter = Inspired by 80s and 90s golf and trail-hand dominant players such as early O'Grady, Woosnam, Langer, Westwood, Stenson, Straka and Lowry. A deliberate, vertical and early front-side release that creates tremendous strike quality.

Backside Chop & Push = Based primarily on Trevino and Thomson. Thomson won five Open Championships in seven years. Quite honestly, this may be the pattern I would choose for competitive golf myself—although I can never fully make up my mind.

Your inspirations matter more than you think.

Fit means everything.

Courses

Aggressive Fluid Release - Advanced Version

My Hogan inspired protocol in my preferred advanced version. It’s not a replica but a product of deep experimentation building upon a decade of deep search. My focus is the achievability layer of Mr Hogan and how he likely did something much simpler than we thought. Deep explanations, optional variablity and a product for the dedicated student. It took me 7 years to get here and I’m proud to present it. Welcome.
Aggressive Fluid Release - Advanced Version

Big Arc Swinger - Advanced Version

The Big Arc Swinger is inspired by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, Tom Watson, all the way to Tiger Woods, early Rory McIlroy, and even Scottie Scheffler. It’s about creating the biggest swing arc possible and emphasizing the downswing in training and the follow-through in the swing. The advanced version goes deeper, including club, shot, and play variations.
Big Arc Swinger - Advanced Version

Trail Power Hitter - Advanced Course

The Trail Power Hitter is inspired by Ian Woosnam, Bernhard Langer, early Peter O'Grady, Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Sepp Straka, and to some degree Shane Lowry. It’s about utilizing the trail arm to maximize downswing stimulation. In the base variation, you produce a stock push draw, but with adjustments, you can shape the ball in any way. The advanced material goes deeper into the explanations and includes additional modules for different body positions.
Trail Power Hitter - Advanced Course

Backside Chop & Push - Advanced Version

Inspired by Trevino and Thompson. This pattern delivers amazing performance if you are “ok” with the power protocol. It’s about target orientation and supporting power with a pushing mechanism.
Backside Chop & Push - Advanced Version

BUNDLE - All Advanced Courses + Training System

This is the Works. All Advanced material in one bundle including the training system. Why all in one? Many students have found their holy grail through progressing from e.g. the Trail Power Hitter to Big Arc Swinger and play their best golf in their life this way.
BUNDLE - All Advanced Courses + Training System

Aggressive Fluid Release - Light Version

This my Hogan inspired protocol in a Light version. It’s not a replica of his motion but a way of explaining his inner layer in an ACHIEVABLE way. Fundamentally it’s about unleashing the full potential of the trail hand. With the luxury of shallowness, inside striking and target connection. The advanced version is very much recommended (since how do you talk lightly about Hogan….).
Aggressive Fluid Release - Light Version

Big Arc Swinger - Light Version

How do you stimulate the swing arc without breaking it? This is the realm of anyone from Nicklaus, Weiskopf, Watson, Woods, early Rory and even some elements of today's Scheffler. This swing style generates a clear reactive body to the stimulation of the club, hands and shoulders. It's, in my opinion, the easiest to both perform and teach.
Big Arc Swinger - Light Version

Trail Power Hitter - Light Version

This Pattern revolves around your downswing power skill and knowledge. In its base form you hit a trapped push draw. It’s the realm of early O’Grady and players like Woosnam, Langer, Price, Stadler all the way to Westwood, Stenson and Lowry. You’re told to let the club just fall in the transition. Guess what, that’s another protocol.
Trail Power Hitter - Light Version

Backside Chop & Push - Light Version

Inspired from Trevino and Thompson. A beautiful club action delivering a pure power that’s assisted by clear power supporters. The most accurate and target connected players of all time?
Backside Chop & Push - Light Version

BUNDLE - All Light Courses

All the light courses in one bundle. Many students have reached their full potential from starting e.g. Trail Power Hitter and boosted the swing further with the Big Arc Swinger.
