i’m carl, golf professional in the midlands uk.

i came into golf quite late in life but got the bug, i had regular lessons, hit lots of balls and after 3 years i had a handicap of plus 1.

became assistant professional to richard at belmont and did my training under him, working at the range and also teaching at hoar cross hall golf academy 2 days a week.

richard left in 2012 so i became head professional at belmont up until it’s closure in July 2024 .

i played on the elite pro tour and the jamega tour but realised i didn’t have what it takes to compete so i focused on coaching.

the one thing i would say is i like to keep the golf swing as simple as possible.
