About the coach

Hi! I’m Bobby Hurley, the newest Skillest coach available to share my 25 year journey swimming as an athlete, performance coach and expert commentator, to ultimately help you swim faster!

I have experience not only as a pool swimming coach but also having led swimmers to open water World Championships and creating triathlon training programs.

As an athlete I was World Champion (2012) and World Record holder in the 50m Backstroke (2008), won 6 total World Championship medals across my 11 year international career, as well as 24 Australian National titles and 30 World Cup golds in events ranging from sprint Backstroke to the 1500m Freestyle!

As a coach I led South Africa’s Chad Le Clos (gold) and Cameron van der Burgh (bronze) to medals and personal best times at the 2017 World Championships, and built a successful National Age program in Sydney for the past 5 years alongside elite athlete William Yang winning National titles and World University Games gold.

I am now Director of Swimming at an International School based in Singapore while also being expert commentator for World Aquatics having the privilege to work at every World Championships since 2018.
