Teaching Philosophy

I believe great golf instruction should do two things: make you a better player and make the game more enjoyable. Too many lessons feel clinical - all drills and no context. My approach is different. I teach you to understand your swing, not just copy a position. Whether we're working on a full swing rebuild, shaping shots on the course, or dialing in your wedge game before a bucket-list trip, every lesson is built around your game, your goals, and how you actually play. I use launch monitor data and video analysis to give you facts, not guesses - so you leave every session knowing exactly what to work on and why. I also bring the perspective of a competitive player who still tees it up in Carolinas PGA events. I know what it feels like to stand on the first tee with something on the line, and I coach with that reality in mind. My students don't just improve on the range - they take it to the course, to the tournament, and to the great destinations we play together through Pinseekers. Golf is a game worth playing at your best, and I'm here to help you get there.

About the coach

I'm a PGA Professional based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where I operate my coaching studio out of Grande Dunes Resort Course. I'm also the co-founder and head instructor of Pinseekers Travel - a golf coaching and luxury travel brand built on a simple mission: help people play better golf while creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime. My coaching covers everything from private lessons and full swing rebuilds to on-course playing sessions and a year-long Elite Player Program for committed players. As a Callaway Golf Ambassador and active Carolinas PGA competitive player, I stay sharp on both sides of the ropes - and that informs every lesson I give. Through Pinseekers, I've combined elite instruction with hand-crafted golf travel to destinations like Bandon Dunes, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Kiawah Island, and the British Isles, leading clinics and coaching on the road alongside our trip groups. I also host the annual Billy Belair 2-Man Shootout at Grande Dunes, and have developed my own signature training tool -the Sweet Spot 7-Iron- to help students build cleaner ball-striking habits between sessions. I studied at Lander University and have built my career in the Carolinas PGA Section.
