Teaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is rooted in one simple obsession: cause and effect. Golf improvement doesn't happen through guesswork — it happens when you can clearly see what's going wrong, understand exactly why it's happening, and then follow a precise, structured plan to fix it. That clarity is what I strive to give every single student I work with, regardless of their skill level. I believe that shorter, more frequent feedback loops lead to far better results than the traditional once-a-week lesson model. When a student can submit a swing, receive detailed analysis, and have a focused drill to work on within hours, the improvement compounds rapidly. My job isn't just to give you a tip — it's to be your mentor, checking in on your progress and keeping you accountable through the process. Having trained under one of the world's great golf minds in Gary Edwin, worked with elite junior programs in Singapore, and coached students across London, Melbourne, and virtually every timezone in the world, I've come to understand that great coaching is as much about the relationship as it is about swing mechanics. Learning golf is hard — but with the right guide, clear feedback, and a commitment to consistent improvement, almost any golfer can unlock a level of performance they didn't think possible. That's what drives me every day.
About the coach
I'm a PGA Professional with over 20 years in the golf industry, and teaching this game is my life's work. My journey began at Albert Park Driving Range in Melbourne, where a single lesson at age 17 sparked a passion that has taken me around the world.
After completing my Griffith University Golf Management degree and training under one of Australia's most respected coaches, Gary Edwin — becoming a Level 3 Instructor in his system — I set off to test myself on the global stage. I taught at Central London Golf Centre, becoming one of the city's most sought-after instructors, before being invited to Singapore to lead the elite junior coaching program at the Singapore Sports School. These experiences, working with golfers of every background and ability, shaped the coach I am today.
Back in Australia, I channelled everything I'd learned into building Skillest — the world's largest online golf coaching marketplace — as a way to connect passionate golfers with world-class instruction regardless of where they live. To date, I've personally delivered over 5,300 online lessons through the platform, and my coaching has helped students reach the very highest levels of the game, including a student who recently secured his PGA TOUR card.
I've also been recognised by GOLF Magazine and GOLF.com as a forward-thinking voice in modern instruction, and I continue to write and speak about the future of coaching. Whether you're a beginner trying to build solid fundamentals, a mid-handicapper looking to break through a plateau, or a competitive player preparing for tournament golf, I bring the same energy, clarity, and obsession with improvement to every single lesson.
