Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the best foundation for any golfer is a solid understanding of the fundamentals — and that's exactly where I focus with every beginner I work with. Having competed at a national junior level and spent two decades both playing and coaching, I know what it takes to build a game that holds up under pressure. My approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I meet every student where they are, break the game down into manageable pieces, and make sure each lesson builds logically on the last. Whether you're picking up a club for the very first time or looking to sharpen the basics that have been holding you back, I'll give you clear, practical guidance that you can take straight to the course. Golf should be enjoyable from day one — and I make it my mission to ensure every student leaves each session feeling more confident and more capable than when they arrived.

About the coach

I'm a former top 10 Australian junior golfer with over 20 years of experience in the game — as a competitive player and as a dedicated coach. That combination of elite junior playing experience and two decades on the teaching side gives me a perspective that's hard to find: I know what great golf looks and feels like, and I know exactly how to help someone who's just starting out get there step by step.

My specialty is working with beginners and players who are new to golf. I understand the challenges that come with learning the game from scratch — the information overload, the frustration, the moments where it just doesn't click. My job is to cut through the noise, simplify the process, and make your early journey in golf as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

I offer both private one-on-one sessions and group coaching, so whether you prefer personalised attention or enjoy learning alongside others, I have a format that works for you.
