About the coach

I am the Utah Section PGA Teacher of the year for 2022. I have been a PGA member for 25 years. I have over 30 years experience teaching golf. I also compete at a high level having qualified for the PGA Senior Championship in 2021 and 2022. I believe a good grip and set up is the foundation for a good golf swing. Golf is a motor skill so it’s up to the student to put in the work to make change. I believe positive change can occur with 15 minutes of practice at home every day. The more work you put in correctly, , slowly, the more likely you are to improve. There is no substitute for a home hitting net or indoor facility where you can work on your swing and video yourself to monitor improvement. Short game is low hanging fruit if you want to quickly improve your scoring average. I studied with the Short Game Chef at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona. Send me your pitching motion and that’s a one lesson fix to better golf. For full swing lesson please send a video from face on and down the line (slow motion setting so club face isn’t so blurry). Also send a close up photo of your grip. For short game help I am not worried about your grip but please send down the line and face on videos.
