Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is built on one core belief: fix the root cause, not just the symptoms. Too many golfers spend years working on surface-level changes that don't hold up when they step onto the course. Having competed at the highest levels of the game on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour, I know first-hand what it takes to build a swing and a game that performs under pressure. When I work with a student, I start by identifying the root cause of their swing problems — not what looks wrong on video, but why it's happening. From there, I design effective and efficient methods and drills that are personalised to your body, your swing, and your game. Every drill I give you, every piece of feedback I share, is designed to be something you can actually take out onto the golf course and use. I believe in clear communication, honest feedback, and making the complex simple. Golf is hard enough — your coaching shouldn't be. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to break through a ceiling, I'll meet you where you are and give you a clear, actionable path forward. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson not just understanding what to do, but confident in how to do it.
About the coach
I'm a former European Tour and Sunshine Tour professional with a playing career that has taken me across the world and to the highest levels of competitive golf. As a member of the PGA of South Africa, I bring both elite playing experience and a genuine passion for coaching to every lesson I give.
My golfing journey began early — I was Hong Kong Junior Champion before going on to earn my card and compete as a full member of the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. That competitive career gave me an intimate understanding of what separates good golfers from great ones: it's not just technique, it's the ability to take your game from the practice range onto the course when it counts.
Now, I channel everything I learned as a touring professional into helping my students improve. I offer personalised video analysis — both face-on and down-the-line — so I can pinpoint exactly what's happening in your swing. From there, I create customised demonstrations showing you precisely what needs to change and how your body and swing should move. Every plan also includes tailored drills to help you integrate those changes, along with mentoring on how to actually score on the golf course.
