About the coach

My name is Danny Cowell, a PGA Professional and performance coach working with golfers from aspiring juniors and club players through to professionals competing on the Challenge Tour, DP World Tour & Asian Tour.

My approach to coaching has been shaped by a background in Sport Science & Biomechanics, my PGA qualification and, most significantly, my time working within the Pete Cowen Golf Academy. Learning in a world class coaching environment gave me the opportunity to develop my knowledge alongside some of the game’s leading players and understand what effective coaching looks like at the highest level.

I now bring that experience into every player I work with.

My coaching is built around the individual. Rather than teaching a model swing, I look at how you move, your ball flight, impact characteristics, performance data and the demands of your own game. From there, we identify the changes that will have the greatest influence on performance and build a clear, measurable development plan.

I believe great coaching should simplify the game. You should understand what we are changing, why we are changing it and how you are going to practise it.

Through Skillest, I provide more than a one off swing analysis. My aim is to create an ongoing coaching relationship where we can track your development, analyse your game and continually refine your practice.
