About the coach
I’m Ryan O’Flaherty, however my mates call me Flats and I’m an Australian PGA Professional and Fitness Trainer, coaching players in both golf and fitness at the tour level all the way to your recreational golfer. My approach is simple, if you can’t move it you can’t use it! I understand that the golf swing is a dynamic movement, moving in different directions, at different speeds at the same time. So to make golf as fun, competitive or as enjoyable as you want it to be we need to address your body and your golf swing. Here’s how I approach my lessons: 1️⃣ Assess your swing and body- I conduct a very informative movement screening so I can understand how your body can and can’t move. These tells me if the problems you are having are technical/movement skill issues AND/OR physical limitations. 2️⃣ Get to work with swing instruction, drills and exercises/stretches that will be most effective in improving your swing/ achieving your goals. 3️⃣ SHORT GAME, SHORT GAME, SHORT GAME. Most people go straight for full swing help, which I understand. But if your goal is to shoot better scores then this MUST BE ADDRESSED! 4️⃣ For my monthly subscribers- Ongoing lessons, fitness programming, live coaching calls, 24/7 support and more below. If you are serious about improving your golf here’s what I recommend: 3 month Golf Plan- here’s why: ✅ Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is your ability to break old movements patterns, whether your physically limited or not! ✅ Unlimited lessons- This mean we can work on all areas of your game at once AND YOU CAN UPLOAD AS MUCH AS YOUR WANT. ✅ Free access to my workouts ✅ 24/7 access to me and the accountability you need ✅ Through my experience in Golf and Fitness coaching I have found that 3 months is a good amount of time to see big technical and physical change in an individual and its long enough to create a reliable foundation and understand your swing going into the future. - After the first 3 months you will have the option to continue on another 3 months or go month to month. Still hesitant about committing to 3 months up front, thats fine. We will set a 3 month plan in our initial call and to ease your mind you can pay in 3 monthly instalments and cancel anytime. Alternatively I have the Silver Plan or 1 off lessons if time isn’t always on your side.
