About the coach

Welcome to Nate Luna Golf!

I fell in love with golf at the age of 5 and have been immersed in the game ever since. Like many, I started my career in high school working at a local country club, eventually working my way up from outside services to 1st Assistant. When I moved to the East Bay, I discovered my true passion
teaching and helping players unlock their potential.

My coaching philosophy is simple:
Clear communication, structured improvement plans, and consistent feedback lead to lasting change.

Over the past 7+ years, I’ve coached more than 100 students of all ages and skill levels from beginners to mini-tour professionals. My students have seen real, measurable improvements:
• Handicap drops of 10 strokes or more, including students who went from a 26 to a 16, and continues to improve
• Players who were on the verge of quitting the game now playing their best golf and training with me for 3+ years
• Consistent gains in distance, accuracy, and scoring through structured swing development and clear feedback
• A better understanding of their own tendencies, which leads to more confident practice and on-course performance

My student retention rate is extremely high for a reason. When players see progress and feel supported, they stay committed to the process.

As an active playing professional since 2019, I compete in PGA chapter, PGA section, and mini-tour events, as well as PGA Monday qualifiers. This competitive background gives me a unique perspective when working with tournament players, Juniors, and the everyday Joe!

Through online coaching, I bring the same structure and feedback my in-person students receive. No quick tips, just clear steps to help you own your swing and improve from anywhere in the world.
