About the coach

I'm dedicated to helping golfers achieve their goals through a comprehensive approach shaped by both my experiences as an educator and a lifetime of competitive golf. ​ My golf journey has been highlighted by recent successes, including winning the 2023 NCGA Four-Ball Championship, my sixth NCGA title. In my younger days, I was an AJGA winner and All-American, as well as a National Merit Scholar. As a four-year Division I golfer at the University of Oklahoma, I earned Big XII All-Conference, Academic All-American, and OU's awards for Most Outstanding Freshman and Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Since those days, 20 years in tutoring, college admissions advising, and teaching have honed my skills in mentorship and development. Thousands of hours spent navigating relationships with students are the basis for how I approach my work now. Succeeding in tournament golf takes a lot more than just a good swing, and it's these important elements—from practice habits and tournament preparation to confidence building and mindset development—that I know best. This focus aligns with my longtime interest in the mental and preparatory aspects of the game, first inspired by Bob Rotella’s books that were my constant companions through junior and college tournaments. My approach represents a synthesis of all I've learned and experienced since then, and I'm thrilled to share it with you.
