At Shack Instruction, our team of instructors are committed to providing comprehensive golf lessons that focus on two primary components: the club's action and the body's movement. Our goal is to ensure that our students fully understand how these elements interact and work in harmony. Lesson Overview 1. Initial Assessment: We start by analyzing your setup and grip. Then, we view your swing and address key questions: How is the club swinging now (shaft & face)? How is your body moving now? How should they be moving? How are we going to make that change? 2. Instruction Method: Utilizing the Jim McLean method, we break down your swing into 8 distinct positions, helping you understand each phase of your movement. 3. The 25% Theory: We divide our instruction into four key quadrants: Long Game Short Game Management Game Mental Game Key Focus Areas During Lessons 1. Center Contact: Ensuring the club strikes the ball in the center to avoid toe or heel hits. 2. Proper Attack Angle: Addressing attack angle, which often improves with better center contact. 3. Distance Control: Using Trackman to relay information and improve club selection for better distance management. 4. Face Control: Monitoring the clubface during the swing to ensure it returns square at impact. 5. Ball Curve: Adjusting swing direction and body movements to achieve a repeatable, consistent ball flight. 6. Distance/Length: Implementing speed training techniques if needed to help you reach your scoring goals. 7. Continuous Improvement: Our ultimate goal is to see measurable progress in your game.
