Kristian Baker

About the coach

Kristian is an accomplished PGA Advanced golf professional and a recognized Golf Monthly Top 50 coach with over 27 years of coaching experience. He spent the first 23 years at Wentworth Club in Surrey as Deputy Head Professional and Head of Instruction. For the past four years, he has served as a partner and director at Sunningdale Heath.

Throughout his career, Kristian has coached both club members and elite golfers, including professionals on the US and European Tours. His coaching has contributed to victories in several prestigious events, such as the European Open, Dutch Open, and St. Omer Open. Notably, he guided Ross Fisher from his amateur days to becoming a top-ranked professional golfer.

In addition to professionals, Kristian has successfully coached amateurs who have clinched major titles like the British Amateur, English Amateur, and Faldo World Series, and have participated in the Walker and Palmer Cups.

Kristian is also the author of The Winning Golf Swing, a technical book supported by biomechanics, statistics, and psychology. It provides practical, evidence-based insights into improving one’s golf swing and is available online through platforms like Amazon and Waterstones. This book is recommended as a valuable resource for enhancing online lessons.
